At the end of the Sequoia (link !) path where is meets the Chinese palm pathway (link !), there is an old farmhouse. This houses the offices of La Bambouseraie. The house itself dates from end of the 15th century and forms a U shape. Due to its unusual height it has been preserved from damage each time the river Gardon has flooded. The water level that the floods have reached over the years is marked on the outside wall. In front of the house is a grand old horse chestnut tree, one of the most ancient in the park.
